Can confirm this bug and it appears in (as far as I remember) all apps
that I have started from the terminal.
I'm on gnome 3.10.1 with stage and next ppas though. But afair this
happened before too.

It looks like this was fixed in the trusty package repository. I fixed
this in my saucy installation by installing the deb from

I see this same problem. It feels like the package that owns this
defect should be fonts-khmeros-core since that's the package that owns
the file with the invalid content.

I dont know why this file (/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf) have the tag
match. if you see the file fonts.dtd just contain and
elements.
if you delete the tag you solved this issues.
