Hello aanno, or anyone else affected,
Accepted xserver-xorg-video-openchrome into saucy-proposed. The package
will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/xserver-xorg-video-openchrome/1:0.3.1-0ubuntu2.2 in a few hours, and
then in the -proposed repository.

driver version.
Iit seems like a valid SRU candidate for saucy, but it needs SRU
informations (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates), I'm adding
some to the description, feel free to update same with more specific
details
Compile the driver I install git on "Xubuntu 13.10" in one of the
attempts to start the system crash xfsettingsd could get a picture on
the screen. See the bug #1296449 .
I tried it on kubuntu 13.10, installing the driver deb there were no
issues. So I think that the problem of the black screen is
I think it is a problem in Xorg of saucy.
I tried the beta version 1 of "trusty" 64-bit and goes well without
problems. It's a relief.

from your logs, it seems that the package in my PPA at least improved
the situation, and X does not crash anymore when loading the openchrome
driver.
But it seems you have an additional problem to the one that was solved in the
package in my PPA.

as if the screen turn off. The only novelty is that if you can access
the TTY console.
Debian package not meet some dependencies need xorg-video-abi-15,
