Hello Sadi,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with number of new
messages in Thunderbird. You made this bug report in 2013 and there have been
several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close
In case anyone is reading these, I just wanted to add that it seems this
problem is caused by that only new messages dropping into the Inbox are
being monitored, and not any others that are diverted to other folders
by Message Filters.
