ivi doesn't seem to have been packaged since dapper so it doesn't seem
to make any sense to keep this open any more.

Hi,
Well I'm pretty new to ghdl so I've only got a couple of vcds (from separate
designs) and both of them call ivi to fail in this way.
As for the version in ubuntu; it seems to match the version in debian -
so I guess it's a case of getting the new ivi packaged into debian.

Yes. It crashes on opening "only" this VCD file. Thanks for reproting
the bug. Could you please let me know whether this happens with all the
vcd files generated with ghdl? Also the one in Ubuntu repos is a old
version and htere has been an upstream release in 2005 which needs to be
synced.
