Also I forgot to mention I didn't install the 1.54 version after
removing it, but installed 'libboost-all-dev' which seems to still
contain the older 1.53 files.
I think the issue is caused by some packages depending on the libboost-
all-dev package and because of that the 1.53 version cannot be r
I was able to fix this by removing the libboost1.54-all-dev using the
aptitude package manager and then reinstalling it using apt-get.
