I did some further testing. It all depends on what devices are selected: Playback: Logitech Logitech USB Speaker USB Audio (ALSA) does not work ALSA - Advanced Sound Architecture works Mixer: Playback: ALSA PCM on front: 1 (USB Audio) via DMA hotkeys works Logitech
