Update: The problem goes away if the credentials are stored in the
"Login" keyring instead of the "Standard keyring" (not sure about
translation) that is created by default.

I can confirm this bug, but I am wondering if it relates to gvfs or the
keyring?
After loading the keyring (at login or using "gnome-keyring-daemon -r"),
if I first mount something else that requires the keyring (sshfs), the
samba share mounts right away without prompting for password.
