Seems to work on ubuntu gutsy beta.
Also, installing fglrx works, but is not really stable (glxgears runs fine but
visualization in rhythmbox make the x server crash)
Can someone confirm (reopen if you still have the problem)

Tribe 5 CD still getting same issue. Tried cchanging to ati driver which
does not work. Did a system update / upgrade / dist-upgrade and still
had the same issue

Gutsy tribe 4 update: xorg still doesn't start but at least it's not crashing
as in Tribe 3.
Log ends with:

The same happens on my Dell Inspiron 6400 when booting Live CD, the
stack trace is exactly the same so I am not attaching it again.

Well, after booting a few times with different options. It has been
booting fine without any changes. I do not know what has changed. It has
been booting like it should on any machine as far as I can tell.

I get the same backtrace and signal 11 problem.
I have also observed "the loading bar will, at some point, appear out
side the area the bar should appear and sticks".
I haven't tried editing xorg.conf.
