It seems that the updates included a later kernel version. This requires
to reinstall third party kernel modules. I would recommend to use the
drivers shipped with Ubuntu in the future to avoid this issue.
Feel free to reopen the bug if this is not the case.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. The display driver I am
currently using is the nVidia-Linux-x86_64-1.0-9755. I do have a
couple of software programs from third party repositories installed;
unfortunately, off the top of my head I am not sure what they are and
I'm not sure how to
Also, I just noticed that I forgot to mention that I am running the
64-bit version of Ubuntu 7.04.
