However, your crash report is missing. Please follow these instructions to have
apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the
automatic retracer. First, execute at a terminal:
cd /var/crash && sudo
Sorry but I do not know enough about it to determine where the problem lies
exactly. Compiz does not come up as an application so I cannot run any tests.
The only other thing I can say is that I forgot to mention that the old laptop
was running 32 bit and the new one 64 bit ubuntu 12.04
