I have this warning also in the terminal when starting firefox.
As soon as I start typing in a textbox (like this one in launchpad),
firefox crashes with:
/usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin: symbol lookup error:

Yes firefox is built with libcario. that could very well be why firefox
is crashing. Did you report the bug on firefox crashes so i can take a
look at it?

ok i reported the gimp problem with bug # 123281. In the gimp problem
they said, the crash happens in libcairo. is that library used in
firefox? if so that may be why firefox is crashing too.

ok right now there is some debate on whos issue this is, but that is
"our" concern ATM, I will be looking into this and we are going to see
what can be done. The reason you are getting this warning is due to the
way g_thread_init() is being called against new glibc. Glibc used to
hide this warning

ok i reinstalled and tried the regular way and attached is a screenshot of how
far it got before it crashed
and it is always reproducable
using the commands you told me here is what happened

well my gusty install isn't working when i try to login the computer it freezes
and just displays a white box in the upper left corner and stops loading i went
into a safe terminal and updated and it worked a couple times but is now back
to the original behavior
so i filed a new bug report and
firefox belongs to mozilla-bugs
