I can now confirm this is an issue with Oracle Java 6, 7, & 8. As well
as Openjdk 6 & 7.

When I use Minecraft 1.6.2 on Ubuntu, on some servers the Minecraft
client crashes with a SIGSEGV error. This gets very annoying, because it
works fine on Windows, which I don't like. Can someone please help me?
