After a [Print Test Page] click I looked at the CUPS error log and the
only line related to the failed job launch was
$ tail -f /var/log/cups/error_log
E [11/Feb/2014:14:43:05 -0500] PID 7976 (/usr/lib/cups/backend/socket)
crashed on signal 6.

After some research I managed to get the connection (it looks like) :
$ sudo cp -r mc1650en_linux_ppd_v004/english usr/share/cups/model
$ sudo chmod -R 775 /usr/share/cups/model/english/
$ sudo service cups restart
1. Start up the Web browser.
2. Enter the URL “http://localhost:631”, and then cl
