Steps to replicate: 1. Connect iPod to a Mac 2. Restore the iPod (in iTunes, select the iPod, click Restore and follow the prompts) 3. Accept the default name suggested for the iPod - it should be of the form "’s iPod" 4. Eject the iPod 5. Connect iPod to Ubuntu machine 6. Eject the iPod Result
