I am running a fully patched feisty also. Dont know wether this is a regression or the patch took so long. Only thing i can say is that the bug occours. I recompiled cupsys 1.2.11 from gusty yesterday and giving it now a try. Will report again in two week... -- cups: Too many open files https://

i am using Feisty (fully patched) - I assumed as the fix went into the Red Hat release note for March it just took a long time to get around to. I didn't say it WAS that bug, just did a search and noticed that bug was fixed in RD cups 1.2.8-1.fc5 and noticed that dpkg reports 1.fc5. If thats not

Just to give an update on the severity - when this occurs the machine grinds to a halt. It happened Friday and SMB clients failed (request timeout) email timed out, postgres slowed to a crawl - the cups service was using 100% and created a 3GB log file logging the error. -- cups: Too many open fi
