I'd love to see this in the main repository. I'm currently doing some
modding to apt-fast so that update uses multiple connections as well.

Why is this NOT the default functionality of apt? I realise some people
still dont have Internet Connection capable of handling parallel
connections. But that no-longer applies to the majority!
Please either add the functionality to apt, or include apt-fast in the
repository's.

I agree totally, apt-get should be enhanced to (by default) do what apt-
fast has accomplished.

Dropping it into the repositories would be a great first step, but in an
ideal world we could just use this code to patch upstream and then the
vanilla apt-get would just be faster. Either way, super cool to have
this.
