linux-source-2.6.22. However against linux-source-2.6.20, this bug does

Ok, in Gutsy it works. After a "sudo chmod +s /usr/bin/cpufreq-
selector", everything is confurable vie the applet. But why is this
behavior not the default? Would be very useful for Notebook-Users...

Nearly the same problem here.
With Feisty upgrade, the Scaling Governor was changed to "performance", but
"ondemand" was still available anyway and I could change it back.
Yesterday, I installed security updates that had been announced through Adept.
Afterwards, no Governorns are available at all
Thank you for your bug. To confirm by somebody having a CPU allowing
frequency change. Not likely a gnome-applets bug which didn't change
from months, reassigning to linux
