The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the

It might be a bad interaction between the NVIDIA binary drivers and vmware. One
way to rule this out is see if the crashes still happen with vmware on when you
are using the nv driver (switch back to the NVIDIA binary drivers after you
have reproduced the crash or if you think the crash
Screen genetaged by nv is very bad (no sharp) in 1680x1050 resolution.
I have to use nvidia.

Probably vmware serwer is a reason.
When it is off (no vmnet(P) vmmon(P) loaded) system works correctly.
