I was able to reproduce this bug exactly in the way tou have explained. I'm
in Feisty and the change doesn't applies even if I refresh the Desktop. The
change applies if I restart my session (without restarting the computer).

When I configure the KDE desktop in Feisty, and right click on
"Configure desktop, Behavior, Device Icons" and I try to remove
previously desktop linked devices ( mounted Drives), it does not remove
them even when I refresh the desktop.
