Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I no longer have the
bug because I've since reinstalled the system.

Hi Sebastien,
Yes, I was unable to add or remove startup programs through the
system>preferences>sessions utility. As far as I can remember, the bug
didn't show up until after I had checked the "automatically save
session" box and/or clicked the "save session" button.

HavocRise found a solution for this problem. I'll reproduce his message
in Ubuntuforums:
"I fixed it! Check the permissions on your ~/.config/autostart/ folder.
Mine was set to root as the owner and my account only had read access.
That is why it wouldn't save any changes. Hope t
I'm not sure, but the problem seemed to surface when I checked the
Automatically save session in the Session Options tab, or when I clicked
on the Save session button.

Well, after some weeks with Feisty Fawn, I'm sad to see that many
important things just don't work, at least in my box. Many of the
problems I have are related to the Gnome configuration modules.
For example, in the Session manager (>System>Preferences>Session) I
can't add apps to be automatically
