Right now, the only soulution is switching off the compiz-fusion.

Same problem here with Firefox 2.0.0.8, Ubuntu 7.10 on AMD64 and compiz.
The second Firefox window opened is just reprocible black.

Intermittent bug affecting not just maximised windows but those expanded
beyond a certain (small) size. I am running 7.04-desktop-amd64.
I had thought it was a compiz problem.
