Same problem here, although I haven't activated the mail_type option you
mention. It's not on every commit that this message appears, mail output
once worked for me, which was a commit with only 'add'-s and 'remove'-s,
no modifications.
My configuration worked in edgy, but not in feisty any more.
This bug seems to occur only if this option is given, which worked in ubuntu
edgy eft:
"mail_type = multipart type=text/html disposition=inline"
