Can you try gnome-disks utility (Or just "Disks" in the unity dash) to format
the drive?
If that fails as well, it's a bug in udisks package.
If that works fine, than it's a bug in usb-creator.
Interestingly sdb is shown as rotational media in the logs. And usb-
creator should be used to erase ro
I'm trying again now, and I get the same issues. The second program is
invoked like this:
udisks-helper-modify-partition /dev/sdb 4194304 15927345152 0x0c boot
My /proc/partitions looks like this:
$ cat /proc/partitions
