for me, and it still didn't work. So this is no longer a problem; I
must be having another one.

I found the solution to the problem, the network manager is not able to
decrypt the group password, once I decrypted the password

I enabled the debug mode, when importing the PCF directly with Windows Cisco
client the group does not requires a password, it only requires my username
password all the time.
With network manager however I selected in the group password the option "Not
required", so I thought the group pass

I found a fix for one VPN, I was trying to establish the connection like:
user: domain\username
then I changed:
user: username
then in the GUI: advanced -> Domain: domain -> save
that worked out for one VPN, however there's a second one that still
does not work and the error logs don't say

I am affected by the same bug, nm-vpnc applet doesn't work, but vpnc
(run as sudo) via console does.
I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 with all updates.
