I believe this has been fixed for a long time. If anybody has seen this
behaviour on hardy, please re-open.

Our experiences were very similar. I installed feisty as a new
installation and during the process created an "nholtz" account for
myself. After installation, I repointed my newly created account to use
my personal files from before, by manually editting /etc/passwd and
changing the home director
I don't know if it is relevant, but I performed the Feisty upgrade
logged on as a different user - not the one experiencing the problems.
I was actually upgrading the system of a friend, so I used my own
account to do the upgrade. When I log on as the user which performed the
upgrade (myself), eve
OK, I now have a bit more info on this.
I have just recently changed my two main workstations from kubuntu dapper to
feisty (7.04).
In both cases, I completely re-installed from scratch (reformatting '/'), *but*
keeping my
own personal files on another partition. That means that ~/.kde/..., etc
I just seem to have "fixed" this problem by some manipulation of the view
profiles.
In Settings/Configure View Profiles... I had two profiles listed:
Simple Web Browser(I think)
Web Browsing
I deleted "Web Browsing" and Renamed "Simple Web Browser" to "Web
Browsi
It happened to me too. In my case, this is how Konqueror looks all the time not
only with Ctrl+N(!), so it is a huge problem for me. I just submitted a bug
(possibly duplicate of this one):

I can confirm this problem.
It started happening after I upgraded to Kubuntu Feisty. The strange
thing is that sometimes Konqueror behaves like it should, and other
times (when opening Konqueror, or just a new window) as have the problem
as described above. I could not make out a pattern when exac
