As I already wrote nearly a year ago, everything was fine in Feisty,
when I used the Feisty Kernel. But due to supsend problems I used an
older kernel of the previous ubuntu version. That older kernel caused
the reported problems. In Feisty and now (in Gutsy) everything is ok.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it so we can work
Ok, here too. I've used an old kernel (2.6.17-11) because of other
suspend problems (other bug), but with the actual kernel (2.6.20-15) the
PowerButton works as expected.

Resolved by using kernel from feisty in place of my customized kernel
