hi Bastien. it's a pity we never managed to get bauble-1.0 into Debian,
and that it had to disappear from ubuntu. bauble (now going under the
name of ghini) is still the only software dedicated to the management of
botanical collections that can be easily installed on a Debian based system.
closing since the package is removed from Ubuntu

development is now on github.
I am very very much interested in distributing bauble as part of ubuntu.
the point at the moment is: I would like to distribute a bauble *installer*,
not the whole working program.

Brett, I would recommend contacting the maintainer of the package in
Debian, Giacomo Catenazzi , and requesting a removal
there, which would cause the package to be removed from Ubuntu as well,
if you think that upgrading the package to the latest version wouldn't
be a better solution.
