ProjectM is a openGL visualization. which neither totem nor rhythmbox can handle due to gstreamer being crappy. totem & rhythmbox have code in them to remove GL plugins from their lists of libvisualizations. the feisty ppa packages work in gutsy. (tho it is adviced to rebuild them against gutsy
