sorry, the name is "partition table doctor". Then you can install FF and
see all your partitions.

Workaround: use partition doctor to rewrite your partition table (and keep your
data of course!). This is due to an inconsistent partition table.
parted should give you the error: "Error: can't have overlapping partitions"
Still i don't know why EE "tolerated" this inconsistency while FF
refused
Smae problem here; the installer doesn't recognize any partitions.

Last partitioning done was when I installed Ubuntu but I have used partition
magic in the past.

are on the same computer (sadly the same that suffers from the ATI x1400
bug also), and had previous installs of Edgy.
