Sorry I may be getting confused with my terminology. By Suspend I meant
Sleep/Standby and not hibernation. I don't have any problems
hibernating. But my swap partition is 5.4GB and my RAM is 4GB.

To work, suspend needs a swap partition well sized:
max of : at least 4 Gib and twice the installed ram
is that the case ?
