Okay so while trying to fix another bug I'm having with my laptop backlight not turning off, I used the following command to add to xbindkeys in terminal: xbindkeys --defaults > /home/alex/.xbindkeysrc however i'm not too sure if that's what changed the function of CTRL+F for me i've deleted xbi
