What Ubuntu version are you running? The latest unity version is 6.8.
You can try to run in a terminal sudo apt-get update and see if after this
update-manager prompts you for any new packages.
Does this happen in all applications or only in some?
I'll reassign this to unity for the mom
unity 6.4.0
Update manager says that I am fully updated.
This is a Asus Atom 1.7 Netbook.
