#1 Test with gnome-settings-daemon 3.6 from gnome3-team
* this doesn't solve my issue
$ dpkg -s gnome-settings-daemon

Maintainer: Ubuntu D
Can anyone affected by this issue, test with gnome-settings-daemon 3.6
from gnome3-team ppa and see if this still occurs?

I'm experiencing the same problem. However, I noticed that if I press
the keys "Enter"+password+"Enter" the screen is unlocked and the shell
is back.
