It's problem in the sources.list. Because he had done an upgrade from
dapper -> edgy -> feisty and the list was all messed up.

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
and copy the contents of sources.txt to it, then run
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade in Terminal.
