You're right again. The fix worked - see attached. I'll have the fix
in 4.43.

Dave, I believe Software Center uses a periodically compiled cache of
.desktop files (app-install-data) for searching.
To verify that your fix works, just make sure that search in Unity's
Dash works.

I tried adding the "Keywords=" line to the .desktop file and changing
the Description line in the control file - neither appears to work in
the Ubuntu Software Center search. Apparently to fix this bug I'll have
to change the wording of the Comment line in the .desktop file as
previously mentioned
Thanks Jeremy. I was completely unaware of the _Keywords directive.
I'm a little confused about the translations portion, as I've been
manually adding in translations for GenericName and Comment.
Anyway, I'll do some testing and see what happens.
Thanks again,
Dave M

Dave, if you wanted to fix this bug, you'd need to add a patch to modify
clamtk.desktop to add a Keywords= line.
I've since learned that GNOME Shell now ignores the comments line now so
it definitely has to be Keywords.

Hi,
Where is the keyword used (as in, what file)? Would the control file
(under Description:) fix this? I would just as soon not change the
Comment line in the desktop as that is used for something else already.
Thanks,
Dave M

This is a clamtk bug. "Antivirus" should be added as either a keyword or
part of the comment line in /usr/share/applications/clamtk.desktop.
