Jan Rathmann, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/cur
Same problem with NVidia GT240 card on "Ubuntu GNOME Remix" 12.10 Beta
(64 Bit). Booting with "nomodeset" gets around the issue.

I did some further testing after installing the current daily image
(only possible by booting the usb stick with "nomodeset").
It seems to depend on the boot options if the system comes up properly
with Nouveau drivers (and KMS).
Booting with just:
quiet splash
splash
or no options specified

According to my tests this is a regression since Alpha 3 (if I boot my
system with the Alpha 3 image the Nouveau driver works yet).
