Sometimes after switching off and on or changing the USB port the
scanner works.
It goes wrong when the scanner has finished the job: the light source
doesn't re

I've the same problem using this scanner, The problem doesn't exists
with edgy. Also using python bindings for sane throw and error while try
to scan

I experience this, too. The scanning unit moves like it is scanning, but
there's no light and no usable output. I'm running Feisty on i386 and I
use a Canon LIDE 30.
