I pinged the ex-debian maintainer a year ago, but I don't received any answer.
Now I've just opened a Debian bug and re-email the maintainer.
For reference: piklab is available in squeeze (old-stable now)
http://packages.debian.org/source/oldstable/piklab where KDE 3 is
available, and was removed
I looked through the Debian repositories yesterday for a package based
on 0.16.0 or later and didn't find one (a year after Mattia Rizzolo made
his inquiry of the maintainer).
Out of curiosity, I did dl the latest released source (0.16.2) from the
piklab project on Sourceforge, and it does compile
