I'm sorry about that, you're message looked a little bit "automated".
I attached lsusb and lspci as my webcam is integrated and so lsusb may not be
useful (issued from 11.10 live cd)
Linux 3.5 rc5 doesn"t changed anything.
I seems live cd from previous versions do not detect my webcam. So it is

Christopher, if you read carefully this bug page, I already tested
upstream kernel and removed "needs-upstream-testing".
This bug is a regression of Ubuntu 12.04, webcam was working fine with
ubuntu 11.10.
Will report lsusb test results with "live cd" later.

Joachim R., thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Please
answer the following questions:
+ What was the last known good version of Ubuntu that the webcam worked in?
+ Could you please boot into a Live CD of that known good version of Ubuntu,
execute the following via a term
Linux 3.5 rc4 haven't changed anything related to this bug.
I installed it and booted flawlessly, except for the webcam.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.5kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the
linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
Once you've tested the upstream
