Would it be possible for you to test the latest Quantal kernel?

Just out of curiosity, when you installed, did you make sure you
installed both the linux-image and linux-image-extra packages? Eg:
linux-image-3.4.0-3-generic
linux-image-extra-3.4.0-3-generic
We made some changes to the generic flavor packaging such that it's
actually delivered in 2 packages t
This issue appears to be an upstream bug, since you tested the latest
upstream kernel. Would it be possible for you to open an upstream bug
report at bugzilla.kernel.org [1]? That will allow the upstream
Developers to examine the issue, and may provide a quicker resolution to
the bug.
