The attachment "Multiarch support for appmenu-qt" seems to be a debdiff.

Yes, recompiling the application for both architectures is the recommended
procedure for app developers.
But, there are so many close source software didn't compile for 64bit. And as
users, they can't do anything when they run those software in Unity 64bit.
So I think it is necessary to let appme
