Attached is a screenshot of synaptic showing xserver-xorg-core is
installed.
Is this something different than what apport-collect was looking for but
couldn't find?
Should I check to see if something else is missing in the default
install?

Ok I ran the following command:
apport-collect 574152
It launched a browser window and asked me to authenticate it, I authenticated
and granted it permission to change anything.
I then returned to the terminal window and pressed enter as it asked.
Here is a copy of the text from the window:
