I can confirm this problem when using the xmonad windows manager too,
which doesn't use gnome-keyring-daemon. Enabling the daemon is a good
temporary workaround.

I can confirm that this bug still exists. A workaround is to use the
following export before launching unclutter:

The problem is still there in Jaunty. It's also present, though to a
much lesser degree, when using the 2.6.30 kernel.

Make sure that you follow the instructions from a folder that contains
no spaces -- make is complaining since it thinks that the "e" from your
folder ".compilazioni e installer" is an argument.

I can confirm that this bug is still around in Intrepid Ibex, with
kernel 2.6.27-8-generic. Using instructions by Vit Svarc above,
everything is fixed. I've explained what I have done in [1].

Yes, I can confirm that this happens on the following:
kernel: 2.6.27-8-generic
release: intrepid ibex 64 bit
where the following message appears in dmesg:
Warning! ehci_hcd should always be loaded before uhci_hcd and ohci_hcd, not

And also:
kernel: 2.6.24-21-generic
release: hardy heron 3
I can confirm this bug on Intrepid 64bit.
Oddly enough, it seems that although clicking "Open" in say, gedit
yields a small window, it occasionally results in a normal sized one.
With compiz turned off, this bug doesn't occur.

I can confirm exactly the same problem as Nanley in Ibex.

I can confirm Tom's post; this behaviour is the same on Ibex 64 bit,

I can confirm this on the amd64 distribution of Ibex. This also happens
when pressing the eject button on the drive, although when pressed the
second time, it ejects normally and stays ejected.
