This has been bugging me too for a while. All my .tar.gz attachments can only
be opened once, then I need to manually remove them in /tmp. Maybe an exception
for *.tar.[a-z0-9]{2,3} as was suggested before ?
Or how about adding the numbered suffix to the first text string :
.mozconfig -> .mozcon
I have the same workflow and see the bug as well (also using a Cisco
VPN)

I am using network-manager 0.9.4.0 and everything works fine. I guess this bug
should be closed.
Thanks

Public bug reported:
After upgrading network-manager to 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu4, my laptop doesn't connect
anymore to my wireless AP. I had to downgrade to 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu3 for it to
reconnect (and report this bug)
I get lots of messages like this:

I have noticed a similar problem without needing multiple instances of
terminal, and filed bug #876672 which I believe is related.

This seems to happen with other applications as well: terminal, evince,

This bug affects me as well and the workaround doesn't work for me (moreover,
Vadim, could you specify which entry in your whitelist you believe should have
corrected the problem please?)
Restarting unity or tomboy sometimes fixes the problem temporarily, but it

The symptoms
I don't think this bug is a duplicate of #770160. Reading the reports,
it seems that bug happens after a while, whereas this one is immediate
for me, and directly linked to the mouse refresh rate.

Sorry spoke too fast, I needed to fully reboot my computer for the
options trick to work ,but it did indeed solve the issue. Simply
unplugging the mouse and replugging wasn't enough (even doing modprobe
usbhid mousepoll=10 as suggested on the quake-related page linked above
did not work either).

Hello,
I can confirm that this is indeed a mouse-related problem. On my laptop, I have
no lagging issues when dragging a window with the touchpad. However, when using
my mouse (Razer DeathAdder), moving windows is very slow and choppy.
Also the mousepoll options trick doesn't seem to work for me
I can also confirm this bug.
In my case, not only is the VPN menu empty, but the wireless "More Networks"
one as well.
Restarting nm-applet fixes both entries.

I experience the same problem (I think). I try copying files from a nautilus
SMB share to a nautilus FTP share, and I usually cannot go further than about
500MB (because the SMB share fails, not the FTP)
I try reading musing from the SMB share, sometimes it will stop playing within
a few minutes
I have the same problem as described, but Roelof's workaround DID NOT
work for me.
