Sorry, i added the line to the wrong section (need some sleep). The
system does not crash anymore (can do a clean shutdown by pressing the
power button) but the display is still corrupted.
Btw.: I issue "echo mem > /sys/power/state" inside a KDE Konsole to send
the computer into sleep mode. Dunno,
Nope, that didn't help. It acutally froze the whole System (needed a
hard reboot). I don't really remember if the System froze without the
added line.

Same problem here on Hardy. Resuming after supend to RAM leaves the
screen corrupted (black with some colored vertical stripes here and

I have the same problem under KDE4 (desktop effects are enabled, but no compiz
i use the KDE4 effects) but i have less crashes. X only crashes when i play a
video (using dragonplayer) for the first time after booting. After such a crash
the shutdown bootsplash is corrupted.

KDE4-PIM isn't released yet. You will have to wait for KDE 4.1 which
comes with PIM. The fix is to simply use the KDE3 programs for now. Not
very pretty, but they will do the job.

Hi. Im using KDE 3.5.7 on Feisty.
Kate is always crashing when i'm saving a session. This only happens
when kate asks me if it should save the session. If i disable the
question kate exits cleanly but doesn't save the session at all.
