I found this problem is caused by both flash and unity. When I disabled flash
and logined to gnome-no-effect, the issue never occurred.
The other flash problem is that when playing flash video in chrome browser, I
can see some pieces of video playing at the background in other window when the

I confirm #33. My monitor goes into power saving when I press
Ctrl+Alt+F1, and I can switch back to graphic with Ctrl+Atl+F7.

The same problem occured on my firefox. My system is ubuntu 8.10, firefox 3.05.
This problem appeared after firefox being updated yestoday(19.12.2008). All
methods I tried above have no effective on my.
