not sure if this is the right place, but after upgrading from 11.10 to
12.04 yesterday i still had to manually change the udev rule (hiddev ->

plugged in, but not from the back where the stereo amplifier was plugged
in.
I also installed the ALSA devel (DKMS) modules but that didnt solve the
problem (

Gwibber is spontaneously crashing on me with this error after I've
upgraded to Karmic Koala 9.10. It occurred moments after I had added a

The version I'm running is 2.0.0~bzr476-0ubuntu3. See Comment #5.

"maximum recursion depth exceeded" errors.
I ought to have mentioned in my original comment that /usr/bin/python on
my host is a symbolic link to /usr/bin/python2.6.
Thanks to Robert for the quick feedback!

Hi Kyle -
I experienced the same issue using Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon (7.10) while
attempting to configure my wireless network with a Hannstar MV-4WL-138G
V2 R3.01 PCI wireless card. This card is surplus to my requirements but
may be useful to you to help diagnose the cause of the issue. Contact me
