I've seen this as well. However, it's when installing linux MCE which
uses the Ubiquity installer. Everyone just seems to recognize it as a
bug and move on. Unfortunately in the linux MCE installer there is no
option disable and then re-enable networking as far as I can tell. I've

Hello, I had also met this bug and had lost my valuable data.
As I think (Perhaps not precisely... Forgive my poor English ;) ), the
discussion above indicates that till now the program will format the WHOLE DISK
into one partition. However, we can choose ont partition on the disk (and o
System->Preferences->Power Management presents a window where suspend to
disk can be disabled.

I can confirm this problem. On my Kubuntu Jaunty box:

/data/mp3 < symlink to /data/multimedia/mp3
On Windows, when I access the files under /data/mp3, they are all read-only. No
write permissions at all.
But when I access those same files using /d

Lenovo Thinkpad - Fedora 10 - x86 - same problem.
System freezes when playing bzFlag, and that dmesg output was the only clue
