I can confirm this, happens for me too.
I have the screensaver disabled though, this has been happening since
about 2 days ago after I previewed some of the screensavers.
It pops up after 5 minutes of no use, as there is the value set on the
grayed out box by default.

Screensaver starts, but
Kontact/Kmail starts up now after recent updates and I can't find any
way to reproduce this anymore.

Kontact crashed when I added an event to an IMAP calendar and after that
is crashing upon launch. I dont have backtrace for the first crash as I
didnt have the dbg package installed, but I installed it and will add
the backtrace for the crash that

Its working now, there was a typo on the latter filename that I didnt
spot at first.

I have the very same problem, and for me deleting those 2 files do not
make any difference. :(
