encountered this issue on my current Samsung NP350U2B. I don't have
access to the Dell Vostro 1510 anymore.

Upgraded yesterday from Maverick to Natty on my Dell Vostro 1510. The
touchpad does not work at all. Earlier fixes through GRUB updates don't
seem to work. External USB mouse works fine. Any solution will be
greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem on a Vostro 1510. I installed fresh from the
9.04 CD and not the upgrade or the alternate installer. Sad, Jaunty does
look good when an external mouse is connected.
